Laucala Island Resort is a unique luxury project; unparalleled in design, style and magnitude. The project has been one of the most challenging undertaken in Fiji and the South Pacific to date and has been brought about by the successful coordination of hundreds of employees, subcontractors and consultants many of which were based outside the country.

As general contractor, Pacific Buildings Solutions (PBS) displayed a very high level of commitment and dedication this project providing unequalled construction performance and creativity. PBS achieved the highest possible standards required under the most difficult conditions and time constraints.

The Company understands the principles and dynamics involved in remote island construction, as was evidenced by their ability to build over 300 separate structures. This included luxury villas, food and beverage outlets, overwater accommodations, airport runway and arrivals buildings as well as spa and wellness buildings amongst others.

For parts of the project, we awarded PBS a design and build contract which helped a lot in achieving our objectives. PBS employed over 1500 employees making it the largest construction company in Fiji.
